New website design
#1
Smile
Www://villagedefrance.net just had a makeover!

The goal was to freshen-up the general appearance to make it more attractive and contemporary. The horizontal menu and buttons are less rounded than before, the footer has been completely re-designed to match the top menu. Text colours have been enhanced to improve visibility and the FontAwesome library has been applied in the member's account pages. A lot of work has also been going on behind the scene to make the site more responsive and user friendly.

I hope you like it!

Good point.

I'm going to add one right now.

Thank you for the suggestion.

The new FAQ's page is now live!

I also updated the Member's account pages with a fresher colourful look.
The new registration form is much simpler and doesn't require the Company, the Address or the Telephone anymore. These entries are still present behind the scene but are only needed for the new Partner Members. Mentioning it, the Partner registrations are now open for those who would like to promote OCE further.

Website looks great. Very intuitive and nicely done.

I wonder if the dark theme of the administration used in the demo does not reject some newbies who think that the entire administration is in black.
Personally, I do not like the dark theme that superimposes everything in black.
It can be off for a merchant coming from 1.5.x who dont see at first the option to change.

On the OC forum, user "Xciso" said:
Quote:Hi. I tested OC Overclocked live demo. I didnt like it, maybe all the code is better but that is build from 1.5, and I like the admin interface in 2.x much more.
And I also think that many extensions will break when the code is changed. Thats the bad thing with forks.
Thanks anyway. I think I will go with 2.2.0.0 as "thekroktek" say is the best and most stable version.
Think there is a problem with acceptance of Overclocked.

I would have to disagree with you on this gob33.
It's all a matter of taste.
For example, I really like the dark Admin theme as it feels easier to the eyes.

Indeed, v2.x looks more modern, but modern doesn't always equal functional.

Also, keep in mind that with the release of v1.11.x, OpenCart Overclocked got its own thing going.
It's too good for it to not have its own personality.

Cheers!

I know it is a master of taste, I just say the demo should be presented in white to potential future users comming from 1.5.X.
In the past i heard people who know a guy who painted all its house interior in black (walls, doors, windows).
The major opinion was it was shocked and sinister house.
Also the constrast is bad on a LCD, menus cannot distinguish from background.
